Inspiration: I have always been fascinate by how different species interact with one another. There are many different types of symbiotic relationships found in nature. However, not all partnerships benefit both organisms. I am fascinated by the ones which do. Give & Take is a short and interactive zine that explores the symbiotic relationship between honey bees and flowers. I aim to utilize this observation as a way to reevaluate our relationship with our own environment. How do we look beyond something as seemly normal to us as a bee on a flower? My work always begin with questions. Why cant we be more like bees and flowers? Why cant we give as much as we take?
Deliverable: Through illustrations and informational text, the publication highlights how each species depends on the other for survival and the essential role they play in maintaining healthy ecosystems.The zine unfolds into a full-size poster on the reverse side, transforming the publication into a display poster that reinforces its message beyond the reading experience
